Kerry Guitton, PA-C, CFPM

Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner Savannah, GA

Kerry Guitton, PA-C, CFPM has been a NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant since 2010 with a current state license from the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Originally from Pennsylvania, she studied at the University of Pittsburgh and earned her 5 year entry-level Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University. She has spent the majority of her career in neurosurgery helping those with chronic pain and multiple comorbidities with additional experience in primary care and pain management. The common denominator in these fields seemed to be “chronic” diseases. During Kerry’s adulthood, her mother was diagnosed and subsequently died of a long, drawn-out neurodegenerative illness. She found the specialty of functional medicine while researching ways to prevent chronic illness rather than only providing treatment after the diagnosis. Kerry fell in love with the deep-dive approach to preventing illness and started her education by reading and learning from the pioneers in the field. Currently, she is pursuing certification with The Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and has completed the CFPM certification from the Functional Medicine University. Kerry’s main passion is to continue learning more about personalized, precision medicine and give patients root-cause answers to their health concerns. Her focus will be to foster a partnership with patients to treat them as a whole, rather than by a symptom or system. She is particularly interested in disease prevention and longevity with a focus on increasing health span.
